GLSV has been awarded a contract to supply diesel exhaust silencers for the T-AO program. The new fleet of oiler vessels for the U.S. Navy are designed to transfer fuel to the Navy’s carrier strike groups that are operating at sea. The oilers feature the capacity to carry 162,000 barrels of oil, have an aviation capability and can maintain a speed of 20 knots. GLSV’s silencers are custom designed for airflow and acoustic requirements, and are designed to operate in the marine environment. GLSV designs and manufactures naval exhaust silencers in accordance with strict welding and quality requirements.
