GLSV received a Navy Phase-II SBIR to develop an innovative, modular buoyant kit (MBK) that will allow the Expeditionary Fast Transport (EPF) stern ramp to allow Splash-Off Launch and Retrieval (L&R) of US Marine Corps amphibious vehicles during Sea State-3 conditions. The MBK will be deployable and will lock into place at the end of the stern cargo ramp, and will be augmented by a novel Ramp Stabilizer Outrigger Kit (RSOK) which will provide dynamic compensation to alleviate damaging ramp motions due to wave action and vehicle movement on the ramp.
