GLSV has developed an exhaust and intake Active Noise Cancellation (ANC) product under OSD / US Army TARDEC SBIR that can virtually eliminate the low frequency noise that is generated from combustion. Low frequency exhaust and intake noise is difficult to treat with reasonably sized conventional mufflers, however the ANC product virtually eliminates these low frequencies for a wide range operating conditions, with no penalty to engine efficiency or power. GLSV will be developing a demonstration unit to show off the technology and is currently looking to industry for suggestions on promising applications for this product.
