GLSV received a Phase-I SBIR (topic number N202-089) from the US Marine Corps to develop a Focused Enhanced Acoustic-Driver Technology for Long Range Non-Lethal Hail and Warn Capabilities. The main purpose of this device is to help soldiers more effectively determine the intent of a person, crowd, vessel, or vehicle at a safe distance, and audibly warn and deter them prior to escalating to lethal force. Other applications include civil defense, campus security, crowd control, and law enforcement. GLSV’s improved hailing device will be compact and lightweight, and will have increased acoustic output levels, improved voice intelligibility at longer ranges, more precise aiming and targeting, and other benefits.
