Structural Analysis

Finite Element Analysis

GLSV uses finite element analysis to evaluate product designs for strength under a variety of loading conditions. Finite element models are built from 3D CAD models. Effects such as static and transient loading, thermal induced loads, fluid pressure loads, acceleration loads, acoustic loads, and combined loadings can be evaluated for their impact on stresses, strains, deflections of a structure.

  • Linear Static
  • Non-linear materials
  • Non-linear geometries
  • Multiphysics
  • Fluid Structure Interaction

Robust, Compliant Designs

Evaluation of structural integrity against a variety of design guidelines including:

  • Crane Manufacturers of Association of America (CMMA)
  • American Bureau of Shipping (ABS)
  • Federal Aviation Association (FAA)
  • Mil STD
  • American Association of Railroads (AAR)
