Great Lakes Sound & Vibration has been awarded a contract from Huntington Ingalls Industries to supply diesel exhaust silencers for the new US Navy’s landing helicopter assault (LHA) type of amphibious assault ship. GLSV’s silencers have been custom designed and manufactured to exceed airflow and acoustic requirements, are welded in accordance with strict NAVSEA requirements, and have been designed for high impact mechanical shock in accordance with MIL-S-901D.
