Numerical acoustics is an emerging field that makes broadband noise prediction based on CAD geometry possible.  As numerical techniques improve and computing resources continue to become less expensive, numerical acoustics become more realizable for a variety of products.  GLSV maintains access to multiple numerical acoustics packages, allowing our customers to leverage new advances in numerical acoustics as they become available. 

GLSV is a recognized leader in numerical acoustics as applied to all aspects of vehicle noise.    Specifically, we have been influencing silencer designs with numerical acoustics for over a decade.  We often use numerical acoustics to evaluate the effectiveness of a mount system redesign by predicting how improved isolation results in lower noise levels.  GLSV also has extensive experience in predicting vehicle exterior noise levels, which has a direct application in defense vehicle and acoustic signature management.
